Privacy Notice
This is a privacy notice regaring LaserFocus.
Please read it carefully if you have concerns regarding your personal privacy.
This is not a legally binding document or agreement. It’s a simple notice from the founders of LaserFocus to inform you what you can expect from us and what we want our users to know regarding their data and personal privacy.
Our privacy policy is here.
TL’DR: As we’re building on a third-party framework, we’re bound to their privacy policy. We encourage you to use disposable email addresses to register and don’t use the chat for sensitive data.
What you need to know regarding your privacy on LaserFocus
1. We build on Bubble
LaserFocus is built on bubble.io and we have no control over their privacy policy. You can read the Bubble privacy policy here.
2. No Encryption (yet)
Your data might not be encrypted. As we are currently in MVP stage and use tools like Bubble to build the app, we do not have control over the way your data is stored or transferred. Currently chats on LaserFocus are not encrypted.
3. Use dummy emails
We encourage you to use disposable email addresses and aliases or even temp emails. In case you cannot access your email, send us a message and we’ll help to restore your account.
4. Your data could be deleted
As we’re in an early stage of the project, we could run out of money at some point and as a result delete the servers. While we’ll try to allow users to download their data before terminating our services, we cannot guarantee it at this point.
5. We will never sell your data
While we cannot fully ensure that third parties will never get access in the unlikely event of a hack or data breach, we can assure you that we will never sell your data ever. This is not just a promise, it’s entirely incompatible with our values and principles and we’ll guarantee you that your data will never be used for anything other than to enable the LaserFocus App service.
Sincerely, LaserFocus team.
